Chiara Massaroni

I am a professional whose work experience bridges academia and third sector: I have 15 years of experience with diverse INGOS such as UNODC, UNDP and UNESCO, as research and capacity building expert with focus on child participation, children’s rights and global citizenship education. I have designed and conducted trainings in 5 languages and in more than 15 countries across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, and designed and conducted participatory child-centred research in Austria, Morocco and Tunisia. Since 2020 I am associate member of Articolo12, a cooperative which provides technical support to NGOS and INGOs to ensure effective and non-tokenistic child-participation. I am eager to be part of Impact Hub, as it would be a great way to meet like-minded people and learn from other similar fields of work.

My work focuses on delivering high-quality educational programmes and research to advance children’s rights, especially the right to effective social participation. In this sense, I developed diverse educational materials as well as research to better understand children’s points of view around their rights to a healthy environment, and I developed multiple educational materials to advance justice, active citizenship and anti-corruption and promote more equal and fair societies. Finally, my work always tries to embed an intersectional angle.
